Evence is getting super excited about his birthday in just a few short weeks. Here he is testing out some "cupcakes" as he starts thinking about his special day.
He is talking a lot now, in lots of two word combos, mostly in French, but some in English. He finally started saying Isaac's name again a few months back ( a year after he first said it and then stopped) and now says a different name for each person. He's finally saying "Sonia" although he says it as "Swa", as in "Byebye Swa". For a moment, I don't know if he was confused about who certain people were. He called both Tantie Lydie and Tantie Nadege "Didi" or "Lydie". He saw a kid at Isaac's track meet who was also metisse and went over to him and started calling him "Isaac" and hanging all over him. The kid looked a little like Isaac but it's weird that he was confused about his own brother. Anyway, who knows. Each kid is a little different and I guess he does have two siblings to learn names for, whereas Isaac didn't have any to learn. Another interesting thing is that he doesn't have a consistent name for himself yet. Probably it doesn't help that we have a bajillion nicknames for him. He does call himself "bebe" or "baby" and yesterday there was an attempt at "Evence" so that was cool.
I have this idea that I'll get this blog up to date a little over the summer but in case that doesn't happen (since I am going to try to build a chicken coop and a serious garden space in the just under two months I still have), here are the nicknames I remember us using with Evence:
Lieutenant, Evancio, Aymardo, Eventius (occasionally), Aymardito, Vancito, Evantiano, Evantiao, Bebitiano.
